Michael Deming for Congress 2010

I, Michael Deming, hereby announce my campaign

for the U. S. House of Representatives, representing

the 7^th Congressional District of Colorado.

Highlights:

• Born in Hutchinson, Kansas, 1970                        

• Came of age in Indiana                                            

• Married in 1996

• Moved to Colorado in 2001  (Love it!--Never leaving!)

• Three sons in elementary school

• Employed at small company that makes scientific measuring devices

• Finished Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at CU-Denver, Fall of 2007

• Looked in the mirror and saw Congressman Perlmutter's replacement, early 2009

A few years ago, I realized that the grown-ups don't have it all figured out.  More recently--much to my alarm--I realized that the people in charge don't have it all figured out!  I lived 30+ years thinking that everything was pretty much okay and that all our representatives in government were doing what they were supposed to be doing.  How naive I was!

Something flipped a switch in me and told me that if I can take action to fix our country, then I must take action.  I can't bear to bring my three young boys up in this mess.  I hope to benefit Congressional District 7, and the U.S.A. as a whole by sticking to constitutional principles and core Republican values.  I'm not beholden to any corporate interests, and I hope to connect with voters in a neighbor-to-neighbor way.
